Thanks to the selfless generosity of so many in our community, this year's Cram-A-Cruiser Christmas toy and food drive in support of the Midland Salvation Army has exceeded everyone's expectations! The turn-out to our events staged on Saturdays at participating retails like Canadian Tire, Superstore, Walmart, Foodland and NoFrills was great despite some foul, yet seasonal weather.

On Thursday November 24th, 2016 at approximately 7:43 pm, Midland Police responded to an alarm at a business located on the east side of town. The employee was reporting that 2 males entered the business wearing balaclavas and each had a weapon in their hand. The suspects demanded cash and left with an undisclosed amount.

Scams and Identity Theft

Local residents are receiving scam emails that claim to be an electronic fine notice and claiming that the recipient had been caught on a red light camera or photo radar and now must click a link to pay the fine.
